What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Dog Haus Franchise Disclosure Document, the excerpt provided does not explicitly address whether payphones are permitted in a Dog Haus restaurant. However, the FDD does state that franchisees must adhere to the franchisor's standards and specifications for the restaurant.
Item 8.1 states that franchisees must purchase designated POS systems, websites, mobile applications, online ordering systems, and merchant service providers from Dog Haus Approved Suppliers in accordance with the franchisor's written specifications. This suggests that any technology or service offered at the restaurant, including payphones, may need to be approved by Dog Haus. Additionally, Item 10.7 states that franchisees cannot use any electronic medium that uses or displays the Dog Haus Marks without prior written consent.
Therefore, while the FDD does not directly prohibit payphones, a prospective franchisee should clarify with Dog Haus whether payphones are permitted and if so, under what conditions or specifications. It would be prudent to inquire about any specific requirements or restrictions related to third-party services or technologies offered at the restaurant to ensure compliance with the franchise agreement.
