What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Pre-Opening Initial Training Program may take place at Dog Haus Restaurants operated by Affiliates of Dog Haus or by Dog Haus Franchisees. The training program is designed for the franchisee's supervisorial and managerial personnel, who must attend and complete it to Dog Haus's satisfaction. The franchisee's Principal Owner is also required to attend two days of marketing training at Dog Haus's corporate office as part of this program.

Franchisees cannot begin operations until the Pre-Opening Initial Training Program is completed. The franchisee is responsible for covering all transportation, food, and lodging costs for their personnel attending the training. Additionally, the franchisee must cover expenses for up to two round trip flights, two hotel rooms, two rental vehicles, and a $60 per diem for each of Dog Haus's employees who travel to provide the training.

Dog Haus retains the sole discretion to determine if the franchisee, Principal Owner, General Manager, and other personnel have satisfactorily completed the training program, given their superior knowledge and skill in managing a Dog Haus Restaurant. If the Principal Owner fails to complete the training program within five months, does not complete it to Dog Haus's satisfaction, lacks the necessary skills, or is deemed unacceptable as a franchisee, Dog Haus may terminate the agreement and retain the initial franchise fee.
