What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, on-site assistance is not provided for subsequent franchised restaurants. For the first Dog Haus restaurant, the franchisor provides on-site training and assistance for up to 10 days before and after the restaurant opens. Additionally, Dog Haus provides on-site assistance for up to 3 days during the grand opening promotional event, which must occur 2-4 weeks after the restaurant opens.

This means that franchisees opening multiple Dog Haus locations will need to rely on their own resources and experience to manage the opening of subsequent locations after the initial restaurant. This could present a challenge for franchisees who are less experienced or who do not have a strong management team in place. Franchisees should factor in the cost of additional training or support they may need to hire to successfully launch subsequent locations.

Dog Haus may provide additional and refresher training programs for new or replacement supervisorial or managerial personnel. They may also provide all or any portions of the Pre-Opening Initial Training Program, Additional Post-Opening Initial Training Programs, Additional Post-Opening Training Programs, post-opening on-site opening assistance and/or post-opening consultations remotely over a virtual communication platform. Franchisees are responsible for covering expenses such as transportation, food, and lodging for Dog Haus employees during on-site assistance for the first restaurant, including up to 2 round trip flights, 2 hotel rooms, 2 rental vehicles, and a $60 per diem for each employee providing training.
