What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the monthly maintenance costs for the POS system range from $254 to $500. This applies to both Fast Casual and Biergarten franchisees, as well as Remote Kitchen franchisees. Dog Haus designates the POS system that franchisees must purchase, and currently, Toast, Inc. is the only approved supplier, including the Dog Haus Suite of Tools. However, Dog Haus retains the right to change the approved supplier with 90 days' notice.

In addition to the monthly maintenance costs, franchisees must also use Dog Haus's designated merchant services provider, which is currently Toast, Inc. Franchisees are required to pay Toast monthly processing fees of 0.4% of their gross volume, along with any additional fees for ongoing processing services, which will vary depending on transaction volume. This means that a franchisee's total monthly expenses related to the POS system will include both the maintenance costs and the processing fees.

Prospective Dog Haus franchisees should consider these ongoing technology costs when evaluating the financial feasibility of the franchise. It is important to factor in potential fluctuations in transaction volume, which can impact the monthly processing fees. Additionally, franchisees should be prepared for potential upgrades to the POS system, as required by Dog Haus, and the possibility of changes to the approved supplier, which could affect costs and system compatibility.
