What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee is $40,000 for a single Dog Haus Fast Casual Restaurant, Dog Haus Biergarten Restaurant, or Dog Haus Remote Kitchen. This fee is due in full when the franchisee signs the Franchise Agreement. For franchisees entering an Area Development Agreement, the development fee is $20,000 for each restaurant they commit to develop, excluding the first.
If a franchisee is developing multiple Dog Haus locations under an Area Development Agreement, they must pay an initial franchise fee of $40,000 for the first location when signing the Area Development Agreement. For each subsequent location, the initial franchise fee is $20,000, payable upon signing the Franchise Agreement for that specific location.
These fees are considered fully earned by Dog Haus upon payment and are non-refundable, even if the franchisee fails to open any locations. Dog Haus uses these fees to cover expenses related to the sale and establishment of franchises, including costs associated with developing and improving services, preparing the Disclosure Document, legal and accounting fees, franchisee screening, and general administrative expenses. Dog Haus may, in certain situations, reduce, finance, defer, or waive the initial franchise fee or development fee, but generally does not offer financing.
