What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee is purchasing the site for their Dog Haus restaurant, they must submit the purchase contract to Dog Haus for acceptance at least 15 days before signing it. Additionally, the franchisee must provide Dog Haus with a fully signed copy of the contract within 15 days of the closing of the purchase transaction.
This requirement allows Dog Haus to review the purchase contract and ensure that it aligns with their standards and protects their interests. It also gives Dog Haus the opportunity to provide feedback or request changes to the contract before it is finalized. The franchisee is responsible for identifying a suitable site that meets Dog Haus's standards and specifications, and submitting the site for approval.
Submitting the contract in advance is a critical step in the site selection process. Dog Haus needs ample time to review the contract terms, assess potential risks, and ensure compliance with their established criteria. Failing to adhere to this timeline could potentially delay the opening of the franchise or lead to the rejection of the site. Franchisees should work closely with legal counsel to ensure the purchase agreement adequately protects their interests while also meeting Dog Haus's requirements.
