What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must fully participate in all guest loyalty or frequent customer programs that Dog Haus adopts or approves, both now and in the future. This means that if Dog Haus introduces a new loyalty program or approves an existing one, franchisees are obligated to participate. This ensures a consistent brand experience and allows Dog Haus to gather customer data and drive repeat business across all locations.
This requirement extends to other promotional activities as well. Dog Haus franchisees must honor all coupons, gift certificates, gift cards, and other programs or promotions as directed by Dog Haus. However, franchisees cannot issue their own coupons or discounts without written approval from Dog Haus, which Dog Haus can withhold at its discretion. This maintains control over pricing and promotions, preventing franchisees from undermining system-wide marketing efforts.
For a prospective franchisee, this means they need to be prepared to implement and support any loyalty programs or promotions that Dog Haus mandates. While this ensures consistency and brand strength, it also means franchisees have limited autonomy in designing their own local marketing initiatives. Franchisees should inquire about the current and planned loyalty programs to understand the scope of these obligations and any associated costs.
