Under the Area Development Agreement, we grant you the right to develop and operate a specified number of Franchised Restaurants at venues in a specified Development Area, subject to our approval. The Development Area may be one or more cities, counties, states, or some other defined area. During the term of the Area Development Agreement, we will not operate or grant a license or franchise to any other person to operate a Franchised Restaurant in your Development Area.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Development Area can encompass various geographical regions. The FDD specifies that a Development Area may include one or more cities, counties, states, or some other defined area. This provides Dog Haus with flexibility in defining the scope of a development agreement based on market conditions and the franchisee's capabilities.
This means that a prospective Dog Haus franchisee pursuing an Area Development Agreement could potentially secure rights to develop multiple locations within a specific city, across several counties, or even throughout an entire state. The actual size and composition of the Development Area will be subject to negotiation and approval by Dog Haus.
It is important to note that even with an Area Development Agreement, the franchisee will not receive an exclusive territory. Dog Haus retains the right to operate or grant franchises to others outside the Development Area. After the Area Development Agreement expires, Dog Haus can operate or franchise others to operate within the former Development Area, subject to the territorial rights in the individual Franchise Agreements.
