What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees have specific obligations regarding compliance with Anti-Terrorism Laws. Dog Haus franchisees must comply with and assist Dog Haus in complying with Executive Order 13224, the USA Patriot Act, and all other federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, regulations, policies, and requirements related to terrorist acts and acts of war. These are collectively referred to as the "Anti-Terrorism Laws."
As part of this compliance, Dog Haus franchisees must certify, represent, and warrant that none of their property or interests are subject to being "blocked" under any of the Anti-Terrorism Laws and that they are not otherwise in violation of these laws. This means franchisees must ensure their assets are not frozen or seized due to suspected links to terrorism and that they are generally adhering to all relevant anti-terrorism regulations.
Furthermore, any violation of the Anti-Terrorism Laws by a Dog Haus franchisee or their employees, or any "blocking" of the franchisee's assets under these laws, constitutes grounds for immediate termination of the Franchise Agreement and any other agreements between the franchisee and Dog Haus or its affiliates. This underscores the seriousness with which Dog Haus views compliance with these laws and the potential consequences of non-compliance for franchisees.
