What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not explicitly required to provide initial, additional, or remedial training programs for their personnel. However, Dog Haus itself offers various training programs that the franchisee or their personnel may be required or request to attend.

Dog Haus provides a Pre-Opening Initial Training Program for up to two supervisorial or managerial personnel, including the Principal Owner and General Manager. Franchisees may request Additional Post-Opening Initial Training Programs for new or replacement personnel, subject to Dog Haus's discretion. Dog Haus may also require the Principal Owner, General Manager, or other supervisorial/managerial personnel to attend Post-Opening Additional Training Programs, especially if an inspection reveals operational deficiencies. Franchisees are responsible for covering transportation, food, and lodging costs associated with these training programs, including expenses for Dog Haus representatives providing the training.

Dog Haus also offers on-site opening assistance for the first franchised restaurant, providing up to four employees for training and assistance for up to ten days before and after the opening. Additionally, at least one employee will provide assistance for up to three days during the grand opening event. Franchisees must also ensure that any Proposed Buyer in the event of an assignment is trained by Dog Haus as a condition of the transfer. These training programs cover various aspects of operating a Dog Haus restaurant, including food preparation, customer service, and adherence to Dog Haus System standards.

While the franchisee isn't directly providing the training, they are responsible for ensuring their personnel attend required training and for covering the associated costs. This ensures that all Dog Haus locations maintain consistent standards and protect the brand's reputation. The franchisor may also provide virtual training, assistance, and inspections.
