What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must provide the franchisor with a certificate of insurance as evidence of their insurance coverage. This certificate is due prior to, or as soon as practicable after, the execution of the Franchise Agreement and the Remote Kitchen Addendum.
The insurance coverage must commence when the franchisee takes possession of the Remote Kitchen Premises. The coverage should be effective as of the Effective Date of the agreement. Dog Haus must be named as an additional insured on all policies, and the franchisee must provide certificates of insurance upon the issuance and each renewal of the policies.
All insurance policies must provide Dog Haus with at least 30 days prior written notice of cancellation, lapse, or material changes in coverage. Dog Haus also retains the right to modify the insurance requirements during the term of the Franchise Agreement and its addendum, including the types and amounts of coverage required, and the franchisee is obligated to comply with any such changes.
