What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must operate their Dog Haus Restaurant in compliance with the terms outlined in the franchise agreement and the manuals provided. While franchisees have day-to-day control over their restaurant's operations and employees, they must adhere to the standards set by Dog Haus. This includes following the methods, standards, and specifications that Dog Haus prescribes, which may be updated from time to time in the manuals or otherwise communicated. Franchisees are responsible for implementing these changes at their own expense within the timeframes specified by Dog Haus. Deviation from these standards is not permitted without prior written consent from Dog Haus, ensuring consistency and quality across all franchise locations. This requirement is in place to protect the Dog Haus system, trademarks, trade secrets, and the goodwill associated with the brand.

This compliance extends to various aspects of the business, including the menu, where Dog Haus has the discretion to make changes, potentially up to twice a year. Franchisees are required to add, delete, or update products on their menu according to Dog Haus's instructions, with a specified timeframe for implementation. All menus, containers, and packaging must conform to Dog Haus's specifications and feature the brand's trademarks as directed. Furthermore, franchisees must purchase these items from Dog Haus Approved Suppliers, ensuring uniformity and quality control.

In addition to operational and branding standards, Dog Haus franchisees must also adhere to pricing guidelines established by Dog Haus, subject to applicable laws. This includes honoring promotional and discount programs, as well as complying with pricing policies such as minimum and maximum prices. Franchisees are also obligated to provide products and services designated by Dog Haus on terms specified by the franchisor, including offering them free of charge during promotional events. This level of control allows Dog Haus to maintain a consistent brand image and customer experience across all locations, while also enabling them to adapt to market conditions and introduce new products or promotions as needed.
