What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Dog Haus, in its sole discretion, determines whether the franchisee, principal owner, general manager, and other supervisory or managerial personnel have satisfactorily completed the Pre-Opening Initial Training Program. This acknowledges Dog Haus's superior skill and knowledge with respect to the training and skills required to manage a Dog Haus Restaurant.
This means that a prospective franchisee's ability to open and operate a Dog Haus restaurant hinges on their, and their staff's, successful completion of the initial training program as judged by Dog Haus. This evaluation is based on Dog Haus's standards and expertise in the Dog Haus system.
If the principal owner does not complete the Pre-Opening Initial Training Program to Dog Haus's satisfaction or does not appear to possess the necessary skills, Dog Haus may terminate the franchise agreement. In such a case, Dog Haus has the right to retain the initial franchise fee, which is considered a reasonable estimate of damages to be suffered by Dog Haus.
