What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Principal Owner is a key figure who must complete specific training. The Principal Owner is required to attend and complete two days of marketing training at Dog Haus's corporate office as part of the Pre-Opening Initial Training Program. This mandatory training underscores the importance Dog Haus places on marketing expertise for its franchise owners.

Dog Haus emphasizes that the franchise cannot commence operations until this Pre-Opening Initial Training Program is completed. This requirement ensures that the Principal Owner, and by extension the franchise, is adequately prepared to represent the Dog Haus brand and implement effective marketing strategies from the outset. The franchisee is responsible for covering all associated costs, including transportation, food, and lodging, for the Principal Owner to attend this training.

In addition to the Principal Owner, Dog Haus also requires the franchisee's supervisorial and managerial personnel to attend and complete the Pre-Opening Initial Training Program to the Franchisor's satisfaction. The training takes place at Dog Haus's training facilities, corporate offices, affiliated Dog Haus restaurants, or other designated locations. Dog Haus retains the sole discretion to determine if the franchisee, Principal Owner, General Manager, and other personnel have satisfactorily completed the training program, highlighting the franchisor's control over training standards and operational readiness.
