What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Dog Haus Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement stipulates that franchisees must adhere to Dog Haus's catering service policies and procedures, which are detailed in the manuals. These policies may require the franchisee to offer catering services or may impose restrictions on the areas where catering services can be offered.
Notably, the agreement acknowledges that Dog Haus's catering policies might allow other Dog Haus restaurants to provide catering services within the franchisee's protected area. Conversely, franchisees might be permitted to offer catering services outside their designated protected area. This creates both opportunities and potential competition for franchisees.
Dog Haus retains the right to mandate that a franchisee discontinue catering services altogether. This clause provides Dog Haus with the flexibility to adjust service offerings based on market conditions or strategic considerations. Prospective franchisees should inquire about the specific conditions under which catering services might be required or discontinued, as well as the potential impact on their revenue streams.
