What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must purchase all Dog Haus Branded Products, Dog Haus Proprietary Products, Sub-Branded Products, and Non-Proprietary Products and Services from Dog Haus Approved Suppliers. These suppliers are designated by Dog Haus after the Franchise Agreement is signed. Dog Haus does not handle the delivery or installation of these products.

This requirement ensures consistency and quality control across all Dog Haus locations. By mandating the use of approved suppliers, Dog Haus aims to maintain uniform standards for its products and services. This can impact a franchisee's operational costs and supply chain management, as they are restricted to specific vendors chosen by the franchisor.

For a prospective franchisee, this means they will not have the freedom to source products from suppliers of their own choosing. While this may limit flexibility, it also provides a level of assurance that the products meet Dog Haus's standards. Franchisees should carefully evaluate the list of approved suppliers and understand the pricing and terms associated with these vendors to assess the potential impact on their profitability.

It is common in the franchise industry for franchisors to mandate approved suppliers to maintain brand consistency and quality control. However, franchisees should inquire about the process for supplier approval and whether there are opportunities to suggest new suppliers if they meet the required standards. Understanding these aspects can help a franchisee better manage their supply chain and operational costs within the Dog Haus system.
