What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Dog Haus's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to pay the then-current 'Additional Pre-Opening Initial Training Fee' for each additional trainee beyond the initial two (2) supervisorial or managerial personnel (which must include the Principal Owner and General Manager) included in the initial training program. The FDD does not specify the exact dollar amount of this fee.

The Pre-Opening Initial Training Program consists of approximately two weeks of virtual training before the opening date, followed by eight to thirteen days of in-person training. This program is generally provided at Dog Haus's training facilities, corporate offices, affiliated Dog Haus Restaurants, or other designated locations. The training covers practical aspects of operating a Dog Haus Restaurant, including food and beverage preparation, portion control, cooking procedures, packaging, system standards, marketing, customer service, and equipment maintenance.

Franchisees are also responsible for covering all transportation, food, and lodging costs for their personnel attending the Pre-Opening Initial Training Program. Additionally, they must cover expenses for up to two round-trip flights, two hotel rooms, two rental vehicles, and a $60 per diem for each of Dog Haus's employees providing the training. Prospective franchisees should contact Dog Haus directly to obtain the current amount of the 'Additional Pre-Opening Initial Training Fee' and factor these additional training costs into their initial investment calculations.
