What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Diesel Barbershop's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if the involved parties in a dispute cannot mutually agree on a mediator, the CPR (CPR Procedure For Resolution Of Franchise Disputes) will then make the selection. This process is part of the non-binding mediation that the parties agree to before starting any arbitration proceedings.
This means that if a Diesel Barbershop franchisee has a dispute with the franchisor and both parties cannot decide on a mediator, an outside organization (CPR) will step in to choose one. This ensures that the mediation process can still move forward even if the parties involved have difficulty agreeing on a neutral third party.
The selected mediator will be chosen from the CPR Panel Of Neutrals, unless both parties agree to another mediator. This helps ensure impartiality in the mediation process. The cost of the mediation, including the mediator's fees and expenses, will be equally shared between Diesel Barbershop and the franchisee.
