What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Devon Creek's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to pay a weekly Technology Fee of $125. This fee is in addition to other fees such as the Brand Fund contribution and local advertising expenses.

Devon Creek retains the right to increase the Technology Fee by up to 10% annually; however, the fee will not exceed $500 per week. This means that while the fee starts at a manageable level, it could potentially increase significantly over time, impacting the franchisee's operating costs.

The Technology Fee covers the cost of setting up an initial email account for the franchisee, which must be used for all communications related to the franchise business. Franchisees are prohibited from using private email accounts for business-related communications. This ensures that all communications are standardized and can be monitored by Devon Creek for quality control and compliance purposes. Additionally, all social media developed or used, if authorized by Devon Creek, must be attached to the email address provided or approved by them.
