What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Devon Creek's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the standards and criteria for a General Manager are detailed in the Manual or in writing by Devon Creek.
Specifically, if a franchisee chooses to appoint a General Manager to oversee the daily operations of their Devon Creek franchise, that General Manager must meet the standards outlined by Devon Creek. These standards are found within the Devon Creek manual or in other written communications from the franchisor. Furthermore, the General Manager must be acceptable to Devon Creek, devote their full time and effort to the franchise, and fulfill the training requirements detailed in Article 7 of the franchise agreement.
If a General Manager can no longer fulfill their duties or no longer meets the qualifications, the franchisee must inform Devon Creek promptly and find a replacement within 30 days. The replacement General Manager must also meet all the qualifications, including completing the necessary training and obtaining required certifications. During the search for a replacement, the franchisee is responsible for providing interim management that adheres to the terms of the franchise agreement.
