Devon_Creek Franchise · 2024 FDD

Answer from 2024 FDD Document

We approve suppliers after careful review of the quality of the products and services they provide to us and our franchisees. If you would like us to consider another item or supplier, you must make such request in writing to us and have the supplier give us samples of its product or service and such other information that we may require. If the item and/or supplier meets our specifications, as we determine in our sole discretion, we will approve it as an additional item or supplier. We will notify you whether we approve or disapprove of the proposed item or supplier within 180 days after we receive all required information to evaluate the product or service. We reserve the right to revoke approval of any item or supplier that does not continue to meet our then-current standards. Our criteria for approving items and suppliers are not available to you. If you request that we approve a proposed item or supplier, any costs incurred by the franchisor in its evaluation or testing of a proposed supplier or product will be paid by the franchisee.

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Devon Creek's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee wants Devon Creek to consider a new item or supplier, they must submit a written request and ensure the supplier provides samples and any other required information. Devon Creek will then evaluate the proposed item or supplier based on its specifications, as determined solely by Devon Creek.

Devon Creek will notify the franchisee of its decision, whether approval or disapproval, within 180 days after receiving all the necessary information to assess the product or service. However, Devon Creek retains the right to revoke approval of any item or supplier if it no longer meets the current standards. The specific criteria Devon Creek uses for approving items and suppliers are not disclosed to franchisees.

It's important to note that the franchisee is responsible for covering any costs incurred by Devon Creek during the evaluation or testing of a proposed supplier or product. This process ensures that Devon Creek maintains control over the quality and standards of products and services used within its franchise system, while also allowing franchisees to suggest alternatives under specific conditions.
