What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Devon Creek's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the full amount of the initial franchise fee is due upon the franchisee's execution of the Franchise Agreement. This fee is considered fully earned by Devon Creek at the time the agreement is signed and is explicitly stated as non-refundable under any circumstances.

This means that a prospective Devon Creek franchisee must be prepared to pay the entire initial fee when they sign the franchise agreement. Unlike some franchises that may allow for partial payments or financing of the initial fee, Devon Creek requires the full amount upfront.

The non-refundable nature of the initial fee is a critical point for potential franchisees. Even if the franchisee later decides not to proceed with opening the franchise or encounters unforeseen circumstances, Devon Creek will not refund the initial fee. This is a common practice in franchising, as the fee compensates the franchisor for the initial costs associated with granting the franchise, such as training, territory analysis, and administrative expenses. Therefore, it is crucial for prospective franchisees to conduct thorough due diligence and carefully consider their decision before signing the Franchise Agreement and paying the initial fee to Devon Creek.
