Who determines if I satisfactorily complete the initial Devon Creek training?

We will determine, in our sole discretion, whether you satisfactorily complete the initial training (Franchise Agreement, Section 7.1).
Training must be completed to our satisfaction before opening your Franchised Business. You (if the franchisee is an individual) or all of your owners (if the franchisee is a business entity) and your general manager shall complete the four (4) week initial training program outlined below.
If you do not complete our Initial Management Training Program to our satisfaction, we reserve the right to terminate the Franchise Agreement.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Devon Creek's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Devon Creek will determine, in its sole discretion, whether a franchisee has satisfactorily completed the initial training. The initial training program is four weeks long for the franchisee and up to one additional person. Devon Creek conducts its Initial Management Training Program periodically throughout the year, as needed.
Devon Creek's training materials consist of videos, reference books, worksheets, and forms and/or their Operations Manual. Franchisees will receive both classroom instruction and hands-on training. The training must be completed to Devon Creek's satisfaction before opening the Franchised Business.
If a franchisee does not complete the Initial Management Training Program to Devon Creek's satisfaction, Devon Creek reserves the right to terminate the Franchise Agreement. Devon Creek also offers from time to time, in its discretion, mandatory additional training programs. If Devon Creek requires it, franchisees must attend mandatory additional training and/or attend an annual business meeting or franchisee conference for up to ten days each year at a location Devon Creek designates.
