What This Means (2024 FDD)
Based on the 2024 Devon Creek Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to maintain their Franchised Business office location to certain standards. Specifically, Devon Creek mandates that the office location be maintained to the standards of quality, repair, and condition as specified in the Manual and other written directives.
To ensure compliance with these standards, Devon Creek franchisees must make necessary alterations, repairs, refurbishing, and replacements at their own expense. This includes periodic repairs or replacement of worn or impaired equipment, vehicles, and computer hardware, software, and accessories, as directed by Devon Creek.
While the FDD excerpt specifies that the franchisee must maintain the office to Devon Creek's standards, it does not explicitly state that Devon Creek must approve the commercial site of the Franchised Business office location. A prospective franchisee should clarify with Devon Creek whether site approval is required during the selection process.
