What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Desi District's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Desi District Franchise Group will provide a sample set of standard building plans and specifications, or standard recommended floor plans, to the franchisee within a reasonable time after the effective date of the franchise agreement. In addition to the building plans, Desi District will also provide the applicable System Standards and other specifications that they deem appropriate. These additional specifications may include details regarding inventory, supplies, materials, and other relevant items. Desi District Franchise Group will also provide lists of approved and/or required vendors.
It's important to note that franchisees are responsible for constructing or remodeling their location in accordance with Desi District's System Standards. Franchisees must obtain Desi District's approval of their plans before starting any construction or remodeling work. Desi District has the option, but is not required, to inspect the franchisee's construction or remodeling progress at any reasonable time.
Prospective franchisees should be aware that Desi District's advice or acceptance of a site does not guarantee the business's success, and Desi District assumes no liability regarding the location of the business. Franchisees are also expected to maintain and repair their business location, including periodic interior and exterior painting, resurfacing of the parking lot, roof repairs, and replacement of obsolete or worn-out items. Desi District may also require franchisees to undertake and complete a remodel of the location to their satisfaction within a specified timeframe, and may require plan submissions for approval before the remodel begins.
