According to Desi District's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a 'Required Vendor' is defined as a supplier, vendor, or distributor of inputs that Desi District mandates its franchisees to use. This means that as a franchisee, you will be obligated to purchase certain goods or services from specific vendors chosen by Desi District.

Desi District retains the authority to modify vendor requirements and the status of any vendor. To implement such changes, Desi District will issue updated System Standards. If a franchisee wishes to use an alternative vendor to a Required Vendor, they must submit a written request for approval, including any information, specifications, or samples requested by Desi District. Desi District has 30 days to respond to the request.

Desi District may negotiate prices and terms with vendors on behalf of the entire franchise system and may also receive rebates, payments, or other forms of consideration from these vendors based on franchisee purchases. Furthermore, Desi District is not liable for any claims or losses related to products or services provided by Approved or Required Vendors, including issues such as defects, delays, or unavailability. Franchisees are obligated to participate in product recalls and comply with instructions from Desi District or the vendor regarding defective or dangerous items.

During the pre-opening phase, Desi District will provide franchisees with lists of Approved Vendors and Required Vendors. Franchisees are expected to adhere to these vendor requirements to maintain consistency and quality across the Desi District franchise system. This also allows Desi District to potentially leverage bulk purchasing power and ensure standardized products and services.
