What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Desi District Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee makes a representation regarding anti-terrorism laws. Specifically, the franchisee represents to Desi District that neither the franchisee nor any of its owners are listed or blocked in connection with, nor are in violation under, any anti-terrorism law, regulation, or executive order. This representation is part of the broader agreement the franchisee enters into with Desi District.
This representation is significant because it ensures that Desi District is not associated with individuals or entities that may be involved in or connected to terrorism. By making this representation, the franchisee is affirming their compliance with all applicable anti-terrorism laws and regulations. This is a standard practice in franchising to protect the brand and reputation of the franchise system.
For a prospective Desi District franchisee, this means they must ensure that they and their owners are in full compliance with all anti-terrorism laws, regulations, and executive orders. Failure to comply with these laws could result in a breach of the franchise agreement and potential legal consequences. This representation is a critical component of the franchise agreement and should be taken seriously by all parties involved.
