What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Desi District's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Desi District will provide franchisees with operational instructions in the Brand Standards Manual that can be used as part of training new employees. However, the FDD states that all hiring decisions and conditions of employment are the franchisee's sole responsibility.
The Brand Standards Manual contains 234 pages. The manual includes sections on Preface & Introduction (35 pages), Establishing My Franchise Business (37 pages), Personnel (48 pages), Administrative Procedures (25 pages), Daily Procedures (67 pages), and Selling & Marketing (22 pages).
Desi District also provides an initial training program. There is no fee for up to 3 people to attend training. Franchisees must pay the travel and living expenses of their employees or managers attending training. Franchisees must complete training to Desi District's satisfaction at least four weeks before opening their business and will be required to pass a test which evaluates their understanding for the content and franchise operating content as covered in the training program. If franchisees need to send a new general manager to the training program, Desi District will charge a fee, which is currently $350 per day.
