What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Desi District's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Desi District will provide on-site support for franchisees. Specifically, Desi District will have a representative provide on-site support for up to two weeks in connection with the business opening. This support is part of the pre-opening obligations that Desi District provides to franchisees.
In addition to on-site opening support, Desi District offers other forms of assistance to franchisees both before and after opening. Pre-opening, this includes reviewing potential locations, providing standard building plans, suggested staffing levels, and access to the Brand Standards Manual. Desi District will also advise on market introduction plans and review business plans if requested. Post-opening, Desi District will provide advice via telephone or electronic communication regarding business improvement and problem-solving, although in-person support is available for a fee of $600 per day plus expenses.
Desi District also provides an initial training program. The training program includes both classroom and on-the-job training, covering topics such as Desi District culture, operations, pricing, and customer satisfaction. Training takes place in Frisco, TX, or at the franchisee's location. Franchisees must complete training to Desi District's satisfaction at least four weeks before opening their business and pass a test to demonstrate their understanding of the material.
