The two variations of the franchise model include:
- Model 1 Eatery. This will be a food service Indian Fusion restaurant focusing on street foods. We expect this model to average about 3,500 square feet.
- Model 2 Eatery and Market. This will replicate the model that we have been built in several locations around Dallas. It will offer boutique grocery items as well as a food service model for customers to purchase and consume meals and snacks on location. We expect the size to range up to 10,000 square feet.
Desi District franchisees will rely on an efficient operating system that provides and amazing selection of groceries as well as a great selection of Indian street foods in a fast-casual restaurant setting. Each Desi District franchise will be operated by a trained staff that can provide an educational experience for each customer. The customers will range from college age to young families, to the elderly, and will typically include people who are looking to have a great meal with family or friends.
The existing company owned operating units vary in appearance and layout but will become more uniform as the brand expands, however, the inventory on the shelves and menu options will be nearly identical. We will also grant franchisees the option to source specific products from their local community.
The operations should generate revenue through foot traffic and reputation which is greatly dependent on the quality of service and the potential word of mouth and online reviews that accompany great product.
