What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Desi District's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the 'Manual' contains the operating standards and procedures that Desi District franchisees must follow. Desi District has the right to modify or change the Manual at any time and will inform the franchisee of these changes through methods it deems appropriate. In case of a dispute about the contents of the Manual, Desi District's master copy will be the controlling document.
This means that as a Desi District franchisee, you must adhere to the guidelines set forth in the Manual, but these guidelines are subject to change at Desi District's discretion. It is important to stay updated on any modifications to the Manual, as these changes can impact how you operate your franchise. The FDD states that Desi District is not obligated to provide formal notice as defined in another section of the agreement, so it is the franchisee's responsibility to stay informed.
Many franchise systems have operating manuals that are updated periodically. Franchisees are generally required to comply with the standards in these manuals, and the franchisor typically retains the right to modify them. Prospective franchisees should understand that these manuals are a key part of the franchise agreement and are legally binding.
