additional franchise after the first franchise for the Eatery & Market model. You will pay all franchise fees upon signing the MUDA.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Desi District's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee is not refundable. For a single Eatery franchise, the initial fee is $30,000, while it is $40,000 for an Eatery & Market franchise. If a franchisee signs a Multi-Unit Development Agreement (MUDA) to develop multiple franchises, the franchise fees are reduced to $22,500 for the Eatery only model and $30,000 for each additional Eatery & Market model after the first. These fees are also non-refundable and are payable upon signing the MUDA.
This non-refundable policy means that once a prospective Desi District franchisee pays the initial franchise fee, they cannot get that money back, regardless of whether they proceed with opening the franchise. This is a standard practice in franchising, as the franchisor incurs costs in evaluating the franchisee and providing initial support.
Prospective franchisees should carefully consider their decision before paying the initial franchise fee, as they will lose this money if they decide not to move forward with the franchise. It is important to conduct thorough due diligence, review the Franchise Disclosure Document carefully, and seek professional advice before making this investment. Understanding this non-refundable aspect is crucial for anyone considering a Desi District franchise.
