What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Desi District FDD, Exhibit A contains information regarding state administrators and agents for service of process. Desi District may register its Franchise Disclosure Document in some or all states in accordance with applicable state law. If and when Desi District pursues franchise registration, or otherwise complies with franchise investment laws, Exhibit A will list the state administrators responsible for the review, registration, and oversight of franchises in each state. It will also list the state offices or officials that Desi District will designate as its agents for service of process in those states.

For prospective franchisees, this means that Exhibit A is the place to find the specific contact information for state officials who handle franchise matters and who are authorized to accept legal notices on behalf of Desi District in each state where the franchise is registered. This is important in case a franchisee needs to contact the state about franchise-related issues or serve legal documents to Desi District.

It is important to note that the FDD indicates that Desi District may not be registered in all states. Therefore, the information in Exhibit A may vary depending on the state in which a prospective franchisee is located. Franchisees should carefully review Exhibit A for their specific state to understand who the relevant state administrators and agents for service of process are.
