What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Desi District Franchise Disclosure Document, Attachment 1 of the franchise agreement requires the franchisee to identify each owner, officer, and director of the franchisee entity. Additionally, the franchisee must describe the nature and extent of each owner's interest in the franchise.
This information is crucial for Desi District to understand the ownership structure and management of each franchise location. This allows Desi District to assess the experience, qualifications, and financial commitment of the individuals involved in operating the franchise. It also helps Desi District ensure that the franchise is managed by competent individuals who are aligned with the brand's standards and values.
Furthermore, the franchise agreement stipulates that if any information on Attachment 1 changes, the franchisee is obligated to notify Desi District within 10 days. This requirement ensures that Desi District maintains up-to-date records of the franchise's ownership and management structure, enabling effective communication and oversight. This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, as franchisors need to know who they are dealing with and who is ultimately responsible for the franchise's performance and compliance.
