What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Desi District's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if Desi District requires a franchisee to provide training programs to its employees, the franchisee is responsible for paying all travel, living, and other expenses if the training program is held at a location that requires travel by the Principal Executive or any other employee. This means that in addition to the cost of the training program itself, the franchisee must also budget for potential travel-related costs.
This requirement places a financial burden on the franchisee, as they must cover these additional expenses. It is important for prospective franchisees to factor in these potential costs when evaluating the overall investment required to operate a Desi District franchise. Franchisees should inquire about the frequency and location of such training programs to better estimate these expenses.
This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, where franchisees are generally responsible for the costs associated with training their employees. However, the specific details can vary from franchise to franchise, so it's important to carefully review the FDD and ask the franchisor for clarification on any points that are unclear. Understanding these obligations is crucial for managing the financial aspects of the franchise effectively.
