What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Desi District's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally restricted to making sales only at the approved location. Specifically, franchisees must sell only to retail customers at the physical location specified in the franchise agreement.
Desi District franchisees are not allowed to make sales through other channels unless explicitly approved or required by Desi District. These restricted channels include wholesale, delivery, mail order, internet sales, or sales at temporary or satellite locations. This policy ensures that the brand maintains control over its distribution channels and customer experience.
This restriction has important implications for a prospective franchisee. It limits the franchisee's ability to expand their market reach beyond the immediate vicinity of their location without direct approval from Desi District. Franchisees need to be aware of these limitations and factor them into their business plan and revenue projections. Any desire to pursue alternative sales channels would require prior authorization from Desi District, adding a layer of complexity to business operations.
