What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Desi District's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the estimated initial investment for inventory for an Eatery Only model ranges from $5,000 to $10,000. This inventory will be purchased through Desi District's affiliate, TAR Distributors, Inc.
This investment covers the initial stock of food products, merchandise like T-shirts and uniforms, paper products with branding, and other Desi District branded goods to be sold in the eatery. It is important to note that the inventory requirements and associated costs differ significantly between the Eatery Only model and the Eatery and Market model, with the latter requiring a substantially larger investment in inventory.
Prospective franchisees should consider this cost when planning their initial investment. Accurately estimating inventory needs is crucial for smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Underestimating could lead to stockouts and lost sales, while overestimating could tie up capital and lead to spoilage. It is advisable to discuss inventory management strategies and optimal stock levels with Desi District during the training period to better prepare for the initial months of operation.
