What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Desi District Franchise Disclosure Document, Desi District does not directly provide or handle the delivery and installation of essential items for opening a franchise. Instead, Desi District will furnish franchisees with a list of approved suppliers and the specifications for equipment, signs, fixtures, opening inventory, and supplies.
This means that prospective franchisees are responsible for sourcing and procuring these items themselves from the approved suppliers. They must also manage the logistics of delivery and installation. While Desi District offers support by providing a list of approved vendors, the onus is on the franchisee to coordinate and ensure these elements are in place for their business launch.
This approach is not uncommon in the franchise industry, as it allows franchisors to maintain quality control through approved suppliers while shifting the logistical burden to the franchisee. For a potential Desi District franchisee, this highlights the importance of budgeting not only for the cost of equipment and supplies but also for the associated delivery and installation expenses. It also means carefully vetting and coordinating with the approved suppliers to ensure a smooth and timely setup process.
