What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Desi District's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor has a 30-day window to either approve or disapprove a proposed site for a new franchise location. This 30-day period begins once the franchisee has submitted all required documents and information pertaining to the site.
This timeline is crucial for prospective franchisees as it directly impacts their ability to meet the opening deadline specified in the franchise agreement. If Desi District and the franchisee cannot agree on a site within this timeframe, the franchisee risks defaulting on their agreement, potentially leading to termination of the franchise agreement, unless an extension is granted by Desi District.
Therefore, it is essential for franchisees to gather and submit all necessary site information promptly to allow Desi District sufficient time for review. Franchisees should also proactively communicate with Desi District to address any potential concerns or questions that may arise during the site approval process. This proactive approach can help ensure a smoother site selection process and minimize the risk of delays or disputes.
