What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Desi District's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must meet several conditions before opening their business to the public. The franchisee must notify Desi District at least 30 days before the intended opening date. This advance notice allows Desi District to prepare for the opening and provide necessary support.
Prior to opening, the franchisee must be in full compliance with the franchise agreement. This includes adhering to all terms and conditions outlined in the agreement. The franchisee must also obtain all necessary governmental permits and authorizations required to operate the business legally. The business location must conform to all applicable System Standards set by Desi District, ensuring consistency across all franchise locations. Desi District must inspect and approve the business location, confirming that it meets the required standards and is ready for operation.
The franchisee needs to have hired a sufficient number of employees to properly staff the business. Furthermore, all officers and employees must complete all of Desi District's required pre-opening training programs to ensure they are adequately prepared to manage and operate the franchise. Finally, Desi District must provide written approval to open the business, which, according to the FDD, will not be unreasonably withheld, indicating a collaborative approach between the franchisor and franchisee.
