What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Desi District's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Desi District has the authority to change the status of any vendor. This means Desi District can decide whether a vendor is 'Required', 'Approved', or no longer authorized to supply goods or services to franchisees.
To implement such a change, Desi District will issue updated System Standards. Franchisees are obligated to adhere to these standards and source Inputs (supplies, products, etc.) from vendors as specified by Desi District. This gives Desi District significant control over the supply chain and vendor relationships within the franchise system.
This provision allows Desi District to manage quality control, negotiate pricing, and ensure consistency across all franchise locations. However, it also means franchisees have limited autonomy in choosing their suppliers and may be required to use vendors that Desi District favors, even if the franchisee could find better pricing or service elsewhere. Prospective franchisees should understand that compliance with System Standards is mandatory and that Desi District's decisions regarding vendors are binding.
