Within how many months of executing the Franchise Agreement must I open my Dermani Medspa?

According to Dermani Medspa's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is required to open and commence operations of their Dermani Medspa within 12 months of executing the Franchise Agreement. This date is referred to as the "Opening Date." Failure to open the Dermani Medspa by this date may result in the termination of the Franchise Agreement by Dermani Medspa. However, Dermani Medspa may, at its discretion, provide an extension of time.

Before signing the Franchise Agreement, franchisees should consider the estimated time period between finding a site and starting operations, which Dermani Medspa estimates to be approximately 5 to 9 months. This timeframe can be affected by factors such as the franchisee's ability to locate a suitable site, negotiate a lease, secure financing, obtain necessary permits and licenses, construct or build-out facilities, and obtain and install fixtures, equipment, and supplies.

If an Area Development Agreement is in place, the site selection and approval process will be governed by that agreement, and the timeframes in the Development Schedule will apply instead of the Franchise Agreement's site selection provisions. For franchisees entering into an Area Development Agreement, they must locate an approved location for their first Franchised Business within 180 days of signing the Area Development Agreement.
