Under what condition must a Dermani Medspa franchisee reimburse the franchisor for on-site assistance?
Dermani_Medspa Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
We will, at our own cost, send one of our representatives to the Franchised Business for up to two days to assist with the opening of the dermani MEDSPA®.
We will provide this opening assistance and training at our expense, but if you request additional days of on-site assistance you must reimburse our costs for the additional days, including our per diem fee for our representative and the additional out-of-pocket expenses our representative incurs. (Franchise Agreement, Section 4.1) If you are opening your second or later Franchised Business, we reserve the right to reduce the duration of our representative's visit or to not provide opening assistance.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dermani Medspa's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor will initially send a representative to the franchisee's location for up to two days to assist with the opening of the Dermani Medspa, covering the costs themselves. However, if the franchisee requests additional days of on-site assistance beyond the initial two days, they are responsible for reimbursing Dermani Medspa's costs.
This reimbursement covers the franchisor's per diem fee for their representative, as well as any out-of-pocket expenses the representative incurs during the extended on-site assistance. This condition applies specifically to requests for extra support beyond the standard opening assistance provided by Dermani Medspa.
It is important to note that if a franchisee is opening their second or subsequent Dermani Medspa location, the franchisor reserves the right to reduce the duration of the representative's visit or even forgo providing opening assistance altogether. This policy incentivizes franchisees to become self-sufficient in managing and opening new locations after their initial franchise.
