What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Dermani Medspa Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees will assume all obligations, rights, and responsibilities of the Professional Corporation (PC) as outlined in the Franchise Agreement. This includes ongoing responsibility for the management and administration of the Medspa and the operation of the franchised business. Essentially, the franchisee steps into the shoes of the PC in terms of the obligations defined within the Franchise Agreement.
The franchisee is also required to operate as the manager of the business and the Medspa, and they are explicitly prohibited from hiring an independent management company to handle these responsibilities. This hands-on management approach ensures that the franchisee is directly involved in the daily operations and strategic decisions of the business.
Furthermore, the franchisee must obtain patient consent and authorization, as mandated by state and federal laws, to allow the disclosure of information to Dermani Medspa, as required by the Franchise Agreement. It is also the franchisee's sole responsibility to ensure that the corporate and ownership structure, as well as the operation of the Medspa and the franchised business, comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws. This places a significant burden on the franchisee to stay informed and compliant with the complex legal landscape governing medical spas.
