What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dermani Medspa's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Dermani Medspa may choose to provide refresher training programs but is not required to do so. Specifically, the FDD states that Dermani Medspa "may choose to provide refresher additional training programs, as we deem appropriate." This means that while Dermani Medspa might offer additional training to franchisees during the operation of their business, it is entirely at their discretion and not an obligation under the Franchise Agreement.
This discretionary approach to refresher training is common in franchising. While initial training is almost always mandatory to ensure franchisees understand the brand standards and operational procedures, ongoing training is often provided on an as-needed basis or to introduce new products, services, or technologies. The FDD also states that Dermani Medspa may conduct periodic inspections of the Franchised Business and dermani MEDSPA®, advise franchisees regarding the Franchised Business's operation, and provide guidance in their Manual, bulletins, or other written materials and/or by electronic media.
For a prospective Dermani Medspa franchisee, this means that while you will receive initial training, you should not rely on mandatory refresher courses. It would be prudent to inquire about the circumstances under which Dermani Medspa typically offers refresher training, such as the introduction of new services or technologies, or in response to performance issues identified during inspections. Understanding the availability and content of any optional training can help you plan for ongoing professional development for yourself and your staff.
