Can Dermani Medspa require me to establish and maintain social media pages for my Dermani Medspa franchise?

You are not permitted to promote the dermani MEDSPA® in any manner on any Websites without our prior written consent, as that promotion is advertising and trademark use that is subject to our review and approval. However, we may require you to establish and maintain social media pages or profiles, which may include, without limitation, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, Yelp, Google Business, or any other social media and/or networking site we designate. You must comply with
our System Standards regarding the establishment, use, appearance, maintenance, and updating of social media pages and profiles. We reserve the right to require you to use designated or approved suppliers for the establishment, use, maintenance, and/or updating of such Websites or in connection with the Online Management Services. We reserve the right to conduct collective/national campaigns via local social media on your behalf.
We alone will be, and at all times will remain, the sole owner of the copyrights to all material which appears on any Website we establish and maintain, including any and all material you may furnish to us for your "click through" subpage.
Annual Meetings
We may choose to hold an annual meeting of our franchisees to provide additional training, introduce new products or services that dermani MEDSPA®s will provide, changes to the System, or for other reasons. We may designate that attendance at an annual meeting is mandatory for you, your Operating Principal, your manager, and/or other personnel. In any event the annual meeting will not exceed 3 days each year. We will not charge you a fee to attend the meeting, but you will pay for all of the expenses incurred by your attendees at the meeting, including travel, lodging, meals and wages. We will designate the location of any franchisee meeting.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dermani Medspa's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Dermani Medspa may require franchisees to establish and maintain social media pages or profiles. These platforms may include Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, Yelp, Google Business, or any other social media and/or networking site that Dermani Medspa designates. Franchisees must adhere to Dermani Medspa's System Standards regarding the establishment, use, appearance, maintenance, and updating of these social media pages and profiles. Dermani Medspa also reserves the right to conduct collective or national campaigns via local social media on the franchisee's behalf.
Dermani Medspa retains control over internet and electronic commerce activities pertaining to the system, including the establishment, maintenance, modification, or discontinuation of websites. Dermani Medspa may design and provide a "click through" subpage on their website for the promotion of the franchisee's Dermani Medspa location. If such a subpage is provided, Dermani Medspa may require franchisees to supply updated copies, photographs, and news stories about their franchised business. Dermani Medspa reserves the right to specify the content, frequency, and procedure for updating the subpage and may require franchisees to use designated or approved suppliers for its establishment, use, maintenance, and updating.
Franchisees are not allowed to promote Dermani Medspa on any websites without prior written consent, as such promotion is considered advertising and trademark use subject to Dermani Medspa's review and approval. Franchisees are also required to pay a Social Media/Technology Fee, which is currently $300 per month. This fee covers the costs associated with developing, researching, maintaining, implementing, modifying, and/or upgrading technology used in connection with the Dermani Medspa system, including social media templates and content.
