What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dermani Medspa's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee's request to relocate their Franchised Business and Medspa is approved, they must pay Dermani Medspa a relocation fee. This fee is the lesser of $5,000 or the actual costs and expenses Dermani Medspa incurs in connection with the relocation. This fee applies when a franchisee is unable to continue operating at their current location due to a force majeure event and requests to move to another location within their territory.
This means that a Dermani Medspa franchisee needing to relocate could face a fee of up to $5,000 to cover Dermani Medspa's costs associated with approving the new site. The franchisee will also need to account for costs related to securing and setting up the new location.
It is important to note that relocation requests not caused by force majeure events or those outside the territory are subject to Dermani Medspa's approval at their sole discretion. Additionally, even in force majeure situations, the approval to relocate is not unreasonably withheld, but it is not guaranteed. The franchisee must also adhere to Dermani Medspa's site selection and construction procedures for the new location.
