What This Means (2025 FDD)

Based on the 2025 Dermani Medspa Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to adhere to a Grand Opening Marketing Program. As part of the program, Dermani Medspa requires franchisees to spend a minimum of $20,000 on advertising, marketing, and promotional activities related to the opening of their medspa. This program must be implemented within a specific timeframe, starting at least 60 days before the opening and concluding within 60 days after the opening, unless Dermani Medspa recommends a different period.

The franchisee's Grand Opening Marketing Program must include promotional elements that Dermani Medspa requires, and the franchisor must approve the program before it is executed. Dermani Medspa retains the right to request the funds for the Grand Opening Marketing Program directly from the franchisee and manage the program on their behalf. Alternatively, Dermani Medspa may instruct the franchisee to pay a designated vendor to execute the grand opening program.

Following the completion of the Grand Opening Marketing Program, Dermani Medspa franchisees are obligated to spend a minimum of $500 each month on local marketing and promotion for their franchised business and medspa. The FDD notes that this amount is considered a minimum, and the actual expenditure needed to achieve revenue and lead generation goals is likely to be substantially higher, especially during the initial years of operation. While the FDD discusses marketing plans and required spending, it does not specifically mention whether franchisees need to submit press releases for approval as part of their marketing efforts. A prospective franchisee should seek clarification from Dermani Medspa regarding the specific types of marketing materials that require approval, including press releases.
