What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Dermani Medspa Franchise Disclosure Document, Dermani Medspa cooperatives are established solely to manage regional marketing initiatives and create standardized promotional materials, which are subject to the franchisor's approval, for use by members in local advertising and promotion. This means that the cooperatives focus on regional marketing efforts and providing franchisees with approved promotional resources.
Franchisees may be required to join and contribute to a regional advertising and marketing cooperative if one is formed in their area. Dermani Medspa retains the discretion to create or approve such cooperatives and set their rules. Franchisees are obligated to become members upon request. The funds contributed to the cooperative can be credited against the franchisee's local marketing obligations. However, if the contributions are less than the local marketing requirement, the franchisee must still cover the difference locally.
These cooperatives cannot use marketing or promotional plans or materials without Dermani Medspa's prior written approval. Dermani Medspa also maintains the right to terminate any cooperative, but only after all funds have been used for marketing or promotional purposes. As of the issuance date of the 2025 FDD, there are no cooperatives currently in existence.
