What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Dermani Medspa's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the 'Computer System' is referenced in the context of required technology for the Medspa's operation. While the document does not provide an explicit definition of the 'Computer System,' it outlines several requirements and restrictions related to its use. Dermani Medspa franchisees are prohibited from installing unauthorized software or making hardware modifications that could interfere with the system's required operation.

The FDD specifies that Dermani Medspa has the right to dictate the type of information that franchisees must collect and maintain using the Computer System, as well as the intervals at which this data must be gathered. Subject to privacy laws like HIPAA, franchisees must provide Dermani Medspa or its designated support service providers with requested reports. Prior to opening a Dermani Medspa, franchisees are obligated to pay a one-time software licensing fee for computer software that Dermani Medspa requires for use in the Medspa or is developing for use in Medspas. This Initial Licensing Fee will not exceed $2,500. Prospective franchisees should seek clarification from Dermani Medspa regarding the specific components, functionalities, and required software of the Computer System to fully understand the technological demands and associated costs of operating a franchise.
